Rector

Prof. Dr. Rana KİBAR was born in Muradiye, Manisa.

She graduated from the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, Ege University, in 1998.

In 1999, she began her academic career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Letters, Celal Bayar University.

She received her Master's degree in General Physics from the Institute of Science, Celal Bayar University, in 2002.

In 2006, she conducted academic research at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom.

In 2007, she earned her Ph.D. in General Physics from the Institute of Science, Ege University. In the same year, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Letters, Celal Bayar University.

She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Physics in 2012. Since 2018, she has been serving as Professor of General Physics at the Faculty of Science and Letters, Manisa Celal Bayar University. She has also served as the Head of the Department of General Physics since 2016.

In 2019, she was appointed Director of the MCBU Vocational School of Tobacco Expertise, and in 2021, she became a member of the University Executive Board.

Her research interests include luminescence, magnetic susceptibility, ion implantation, crystal characterization, and photoelectronic materials. Prof. Dr. KİBAR has served as a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals and has published nearly fifty research articles, primarily in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of General Physics. She has also supervised approximately twenty master's and doctoral theses.

On 1 August 2023, she was appointed as the Rector of Manisa Celal Bayar University by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
